Whats your beef with collabs?? If individual writers get together, decide amongst each other that they want to collab, how is that a issue for you? Its the same on the street. When i have a big enough wall, i call my mates, when they have a big enough wall they call me. Im struggling to see a problem here. That doesnt make writers sell outs, its just fun, that is all. Do a piece and get over it.
